Hanging out with Grandma

Eliot had lunch with Grandma this afternoon at the Cheesecake Factory. Grandma tried out her new video feature on her Palm for the first time. Success!

4 months!

Eliot is now 4 months old! Josh took her to her doctor's appointment today. Eliot now weighs 15lb 7 oz (84%) and is 25.25 inches long (83%). She's a big, healthy girl!

New fun things

Eliot loves chewing on everything these days so we got her a Sophie, a popular rubber toy that babies like to chew on.

Eliot has discovered her feet. Now when her feet aren't covered by socks or her footed pajama outfits, she loves grabbing them.

Eliot and Wally

When we went out to visit Bea, we stopped by have lunch at Aunt Carol's. Jonathan brought over Wally and Wally said hello to Eliot.

Visit with Great Grandma Bea

On Saturday Eliot finally got to meet her Great Grandma Bea. The nursing home at a ban on young visitors since Eliot was born but the ban was just lifted so we were able to introduce Eliot to Bea. The visit went great. Bea seemed really happy to see Eliot.

Eliot has a new toy! She seems a little overwhelmed by all the fun within her grasp but we think she will grow into this soon.

Olympics

Josh and I are big fans of the Olympics and although we generally cheer for the U.S. and Korea (in what order? well, that depends on who you are talking to), our friends from Canada had sent Eliot some awesome Olympics gear that we put on today to celebrate the start of the competition. That hat is pretty great because it's warm and stays ON.

She can do this for a several seconds at a time when she feels like it.

Good sleeper

We've always known that Eliot is a great sleeper...well, here is proof that she will fall asleep pretty much whenever and wherever. Taylor was baking bread (yum!) and Eliot was having fun watching the hustle and bustle in the kitchen from her Bumbo. Next thing Taylor sees is this.

Bath time!

After Eliot gets a bath, we usually have some naked time, which she loves. Her room has a nice space heater (thanks to Kelvin & Stacy for the recommendation!) so it's comfy and warm while I put on some lotion and we do some tummy time.

Drooling and reading

Eliot's a big drool monster these days. We try to keep up with wiping her chin but mostly it's a losing cause.

Rolling over? Not yet...

Eliot is so close to rolling over but she getting stuck on her side. She's so mellow and doesn't seem very motivated to work that hard. She tries for a little bit and then happily lies back down on her back and chews on her hand.
