Fun Fridays

Since I don't work on Fridays, Eliot and I spend a lot of quality time together on Fridays now. This past Friday Eliot and I practiced sitting up, did some tummy time, danced around the kitchen while making some butternut squash soup for lunch and then went to mommy/baby yoga together!

Weekend

Here are a couple of pictures from this weekend. After our long trip last week, it was nice to just hang out at home mostly and relax.

Eliot really likes "standing" while we hold her up. We were hanging out listening to some music and I took my hands off while she was holding on to the couch. She hung out there for a couple of minutes. I picked her up and got the camera and was hoping she could do it again so I could catch it. Voila! (don't worry, you can't see it but my arm was right there to catch her in case she flopped)

3 months old today!

Eliot was born 3 months ago today. Time really flies. This is the last week that Eliot is spending with Daddy (and in fact, will spend tomorrow morning with Grandpa while Daddy goes into Boston for work). Today, while I was feeding Eliot, she grasped the bottle and fed herself for 2 minutes while Daddy just relaxed in a state of awe. She has never done that before! I don't know if it was random hand movement that happened to grab the bottle, or some type of conscious behavior. Well, after about 2 minutes, her hands got tired and Daddy had to help her finish things out. Very exciting!

Visit to England

We just got back from a lovely trip to England to visit my family. Eliot was a great traveler and really enjoyed her time with halmoni, hallabuji, cousin Lucy, Emo, and Uncle Tim!

Eliot and Toys II

Eliot spent an entire week hanging out with Daddy while Mommy went back to work on Monday. Daddy was so busy that he was unable to post anything to the baby blog until the weekend.

Eliot really likes her playmat, and has started to grab on to her toys for many minutes on end. I told Mommy that I was worried that she might be "overstimulated" and Mommy just laughed, saying that she found it amusing that Daddy was using "baby lingo."

Now that Eliot has her daily Bumbo time, I've been trying to figure out how to entertain her in the Bumbo. We will often read books while she's seated in the Bumbo but that was hard to take a picture of since Mommy can't hold a book and take a picture at the same time! I thought maybe Eliot would like a different view of her playmat since she's always looking up at her toys.
